The $100 Build Deposit (Try-It-First Guarantee)
- A website build starts with a $100 refundable deposit. When your site is finished you test-drive it before any balance is due — if you're not satisfied, your deposit comes back. Full details on the Guarantee page.
- At launch, your $100 deposit converts to $100 of Mission Control balance plus a one-time $50 welcome bonus credit. From that point the balance rules below apply: your own $100 is refundable to the extent it is unspent; the $50 welcome credit is a gift and is never refundable.
- Template-site purchases work the same way as the deposit.
Subscriptions & care plans (such as Visibility Monitoring or a hosting & care plan)
- Cancel anytime — cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Partial-period refunds are not issued; the service simply runs through the period you paid for.
- Cancelling never affects your code or your account balance, and your site stays yours. If a plan included hosting, we help you move your site to free self-hosting or your own host at no charge so it keeps running — moving is always free when you do it yourself.
Balance vs. Bonus Credit
Your account holds two separate things, and they are treated differently:
- Balance — money you add to your account. Your unused balance is refundable immediately, minus card processing fees. Once it is spent on website changes or AI usage, those funds are not refundable.
- Bonus credit — promotional credit we add (for example, the standard $20 bonus on a $100 top-up, or the one-time $30 first-top-up bonus). Bonus credit has no cash value and is not refundable. When a refund is issued, bonus credit is set aside — it is restored if you later add back what you refunded. A disputed payment (chargeback) forfeits bonus credit permanently.
How spending works
When you use the service, your purchased Balance is spent first, and any bonus credit is spent last. This means your refundable balance is always used before promotional credit.
Requesting a refund
- Refunds are limited to your unused balance at the time of the request.
- Refunds are issued immediately to your original payment method and are limited to your most recent payment. Your bank may take a few days to show the credit.
- Refunds are minus card processing fees. The card network keeps the fee it charged on your payment when that payment is refunded, so it comes out of the refund (you see the exact amount before you confirm). The fee is withheld once per payment.
- Any bonus credit on your account is set aside when a refund is issued (restored if you add the refunded amount back; forfeited permanently on a chargeback).
- Funds already spent on website changes or AI usage are not refundable.
Chargebacks & abuse
